The Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Mumbai was inaugurated in 1976,  in which  it is under jurisdiction is  the state of Maharashtra of which Mumbai is the capital, the  state of Gujarat, with  Gandhinagar as the  capital and the state of Karnataka of which Bangalore is the capital.
